Accomplishments

In the second dream I was back at my childhood home and the dream took place 15 years ago. There was some kind of event going on. The kind of event where each neighbor decorates the front of their house.

My mom wanted to decorate the house with a list of my achievements. 15 years ago that list would not have been very long but in the dream in had a few items on it.

I vehemently protested about having my achievements put on display for the whole neighborhood to see.

My mom asked me rather angrily "Don't you want to stand out?"

I replied "No, I just want to blend into the background."

My mom was appalled by that reply.

15 years ago that would not have been my actual answer. Back then I wanted to stand out and be the center of attention, It wasn't until I got much older that I realized it's easier to go through life unnoticed.

That may sound like a defeatist attitude but unfortunately that's the reality of it. If I had spent more of my life trying not to be noticed instead of drawing attention to myself my life would have been much more peaceful.

Alternate Universe

Over the weekend I had two very intense dreams.

In the first one an alternate universe had been discovered along with a way to travel to it.

I was one of a handful of civilians picked to take a tour of the new universe.

On the alternate Earth we were taken to a beach where archaeologists were excavating. It appeared that this Earth was not inhabited.

The beaches were covered with multicolored sand like you would see in one of those sand art bottles but the changes in color were much more subtle than that.

When we got back to our Earth it seems that we were followed by super powered beings. (I read too many comics) They didn't look like your normal invading horde and they were very polite. Polite or not they were still trying to take over.

While on the other Earth we were given weapons to fend off any threats. They looked like small Bic lighters that shot a fluid that looked like water. The weapons did not work on either Earth. I would spray the super powered beings with the fluid and they would politely ask me to stop. That makes it sound like the alternate Earth was just a super powered Canada.

Chocolate shake sex

I'm back dreamers. It's been a while and I still have some old dreams to get out of the dream book but I'm hoping to keep this site more active now.

Just when I said that I rarely dream about my wife I had another dream about her last night.

For the past couple of days my wife has been craving a chocolate milkshake. And in the past few days the places I've been going to either their shake machine is not working or they've been 'out' of shakes.

Last night I was finally able to procure a shake for her. She was extremely grateful and even posted on Facebook about how grateful she was. That gave me a warm feeling knowing how appreciative she was.

Last night when I finally got to sleep I dreamt that my wife was so grateful about the shake that we had sex because of it. She probably was grateful enough that we would have had sex because of it but the problem is we can't.

My wife is disabled and due to medical reasons we haven't had sex in some time. Yes, in the beginning it was very frustrating however there is no use in getting upset over it or by being frustrated over it.

I like to think that our love transcends sex.
